Toggle active pane on mouse over

I recently discovered XYplorer and first i want to say that this is the BEST file manager program i have ever used. I am happy i found it and i will use it probably... forever.
I want to make two suggestions, and if you find them useful i hope to include them in the next updates.
The first suggestion is to toggle active panes on mouse over and second is to switch between tabs on mouse over.
Thanks!

Welcome,
The active panes' toggle kinda happens already as far as scrolling is concerned. It doesn't actually change the active state though.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Glad you discovered XY and like it! We all love it as well!
The first suggestion is to toggle active panes on mouse over and second is to switch between tabs on mouse over.
One possible downside to this idea would be that one could then accidently trigger a pane/tab switch while moving mouse to toolbar to do some action...clicking on a tab header to switch tabs (current behavior) doesn't seem to be that much of a chore and thus prevents unintended activation.

Plus: The mouse over event as such will (probably) be a victim of the upcoming touch screen era. Mouse over is over...

It's interesting that you seem to be focusing on this touch screen movement, but not the fact that thus far that same movement has been abstracting away the file system.

I meant this to be added as an option and who wants to use it, who don't like, not to use it. As for accidentally triggering tab it can be added option to set a delay for activating tabs/pane on mouse over.
I don't know if this can be related but there is firefox addon that is switching tabs on mouse over which i am using constantly without any problems. This is the addon -
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... tab-focus/
But this is just a suggestion. If you think this will not be useful that is okay. The program already has lots of features. More than i could wish.

Hm, true.
I don't think the file system will be abstracted away from power users, so the market for powerful file managers will still be there. The same power users will probably continue using the mouse (the touch screen is a good interface for some but not all sorts of "real computer work" IMO). So, I correct myself, the mouse over event will not die that soon.

I would be grateful if XYplorer gets the full Win7 treatment before being introduced to the touch screen era
