File list pane navigation

Long time xplorer² user looking to make the transition to xyplorer. My preference is to use my file explorer in a dual pane mode without the tree, however in xyplorer this makes navigation very difficult. I cannot even determine how to back up one level short of using the backspace key or going back to the tree. In xyplorer² you could double click in any open area of the pane and it would back up, even more powerful you could use the folder breadcrumbs as links back to the other folders.

So, any change of adding these features? Or are they already there and I have overlooked them? Especially the bread crumb nav, even the default window explorer in Windwos 7 has this capability.

Thanks
gl

Breadcrumbs -- this has been a dead horse for a long time, please use search.
Going up in the list -- add a toolbar button called Up.

And there was another new thread about it just a couple of days ago! :P
As in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6770

Two additional possibilities to use the mouse to go up in a List:
1. Configuration > Tabs > On dbl-click: Go up. This will make a double-click on a tab go up.
2. By applying the tweak CEA_MouseBack=1, if your mouse has a back button, pressing it will make the List to go up instead of back in the history (the default). Please see here for how to apply the tweak.

Sorry, I read a bunch of threads and poked around here a couple times before I posted this. I am trying out several file managers as a replacement to xplorer² and got my research and searches mixed up.

In the end though, it seems short sighted to *not* implement a feature that is requested as often as this on the basis that the author like his way of navigation better. I don't think it would be a difficult enhancement and one could use it or not.

Again, sorry for the rehash but I am guessing I won't be the last to make this mistake since Windows 7 (Vista?) file manager now has this feature it will likely become an even more frequent request.

Simply tick Configuration | Extended | Dbl-click on empty space goes up. Or isn't that what you are looking for?

PS: Is that really the default now in Win7 Explorer? (No time to check.) If yes, I will tick it by factory default. BTW, the feature is in XY since v6.00.0032 - 2007-05-30 10:59. :)

No it isn't. But it's a really useful feature in XYplorer.
Thanks for the info. I made it the default anyway.
