Hi
was Ctrl-E = one handed
is now Alt-Home = two handed. (Unless you have a very big hand!)
How about the ability to use Ctrl-Home. Then we are back to one hand.

But Ctrl+Home is already doing a job (move focus to top item).
Alt-Home is the standard for browser to go home. Bad luck for the one handed.

Hmmm... Don't suppose allowing the user to setup his own shortkeys is real easy to program in, is it?
Just asking.

Oh, it's not difficult. It's just a nasty job when you have to apply it onto an architecture that was not designed for this the first place. But I don't fear nastiness so much; what I don't like about customizable shortcuts is the "Babylon-effect" it has on the user community: you can't just say "To do X simply press Y" anymore.
There will be customizable shortcuts in the "catalog" (the new fav panel). These are for customizable actions, so it makes sense for me here.

The simple way that I've seen it handled that makes reference to standard/default keys easier to describe is a three column format, with the description in 1st, standard in 2nd, user in 3rd, or similar...thus giving an equivalance table that users can refer to...
