Cannot activate Shell Integration on Windows 7

Hi - I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious but when I click "XYplorer in context menu" in configuration, I simply get the response "You need administrator rights to change this setting." My computer is single user and my user account is an Administrator. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!
Curt

Can you try running XYplorer as administrator? Right-click on XYplorer.exe and choose "Run as administrator". Does it help?

Yes, that allowed me to check the boxes - thanks for the quick reply!

OK, now that I've got the Shell Integration boxes checked, I was assuming that an Outlook attach file, SAVE AS or whatever would render the XYplorer interface. It isn't. Am I missing something else?

Yes, the integration doesn't extend that far. As per help file, it only creates a context menu entry in Explorer. It does not overhaul it.

Got it. I can live with that - it's a world better than Windows Explorer. Thanks again.
