Duplicate thumbnail size entries in "View | Views"

In the "View | Views" list there are two thumbnail entries for 96x96. This is because I have set the default thumbnail size (Configuration | Thumbnails) to 96x96. If I set the default to 72x72 then there is only one 96x96 entry in the view list. What it appears to be is that the first entry in the list is the default thumbnail size, but this is not obvious. Perhaps the entry should be the size then (default).

You mean I should append "(default)" to the 4th view menu item?
Your observation is correct. When I added Views recently I expected much more discussion in the forum than actually happened. I've thought of it as half-finished (or rather half-the-potential-exploited), but since nobody said something I left it for the time being and turned to other things...

Yes, that is what I meant.
Alternatively, which would suit me, is only one thumbnail entry which is the value set in the configuration. In that case, the size information would be that of the configuration setting. Exactly as the 4th. menu item is at the moment and without the other two thumbnail entries.

I have my config set to 54x54 so I see three choices in View: 54x54, 96x96, 128x96.
I'm not sure if I follow what this 4th entry refers to...
Could someone clarify a bit?
Because the current setup seems fine to me...

If you change the default setting in Configuration | Thumbnails then your 54x54 entry will be whatever is set in the configuration. 4th. entry refers to the 4th. line in the View | Views sub-menu, which is actually the default thumbnails setting and not 54x54. The other two settings (96x96 & 128x96) are fixed by Donald. My setup, which had the configuration setting to 96x96, resulted in 96x96, 96x96, 128x96 for the three thumbnail options i.e. only two options.
I hope that makes sense!

Duh! I somehow was thinking of a 4th "Thumbnail" View entry, and not the 4th line in the Thumbnail View menu! So...adding "(default)" to that line makes sense in that case.

I'm not sure if "(default)" is a good choice for the only size that's configurable. I would find that confusing.

Good point. But "(Configurable)" is a bit long don't you think?
Since you said "I've thought of it as half-finished (or rather half-the-potential-exploited)" I'm happy to leave it as it is and see what other ideas spring to mind.
I think that something odd also happens to the check mark if the "Configurable" value is the same as either of the "Preset" values - I seem to remember that sometimes it's on the "Configurable" value and other times on the "Preset" value, but I haven't found a condition to reproduce it reliably.

Maybe "(user set)" or "(Config)"? Just trying to think of alternate verbiage..

Let's wait. My to-do list is not short at the moment, but I plan to make all three configurable, or add even more and different
never-seen types of views...
