I use mini tree, sometimes I collapse/expand folders by clicking blue +/-. But when I open a branch which is in the deepest level of mini tree, all subfolders appear (in my case sometimes more than 30) and this messes my tiny mini tree up. What is your recommendation against it? Shouldn't I use collapse/expand in mini tree? But when auto optimize is on, it is collapsed automatically, and I forget which branch mustn't be clicked (which is the deepest folder).

When a collpased node has not been expanded yet in the current session the Mini Tree will indeed show all subfolders on expansion-in-the-tree (by clicking the "+" icon). What else can it do?

To expand to only a particular subfolder, browse to it via the file list (dbl-click on the ffolder in the list), or the Address Bar, or use some of the MRU lists if that folder happens to be in one.

It makes sense, maybe you are right. Anyway, when I expand this kind of tree branch , and 30 subfolders appear, I simply collapse it. My problem is when I realize, I would like to add one folder of 30 to the mini tree. I can't do that, because all 30 subfolders are added now. My present solution: collapse the branch, restart XYplorer and browse in file list the one folder I need. My second solution: hide the folder (with 30 subfolder) from mini tree, then browse it again in the file list. These are a bit circumstantial.
By the way, a new menu item "Hide all subfolder but current one from mini tree" could solve the problem at one blow

There is a trick you might not know. Hold CTRL while collapsing a node by clicking "-", and it is reset to "never-expanded" (as if after as restart).

I have tried it and used it more times by now in real situation . Perfect, thank you! Maybe it seems to be a little improvement, but now I am not afraid to use mini tree in my very large directory structure. Became really smooth now!

Where did I say that it wasn't a major effort? 20 hours passed between announcement and upload. A lot of trouble fits into 20 hours... (just kidding)

Obviously. I have already purchased it, although it was not cheap regarding the country I live in. But sometimes after software purchasing I don't get real support and have to wait for months or years for announcing a new version. Fortunately, now this is not the case, so we, registered users don't have to think license price as wasted money.

Yes, it's the level of support that Don provides that has made me SO devoted to this product!

And here, as you can see, keeping up with the current vers can sometimes be the problem...but what a great problem to have!
