going back to unavailable locations

whenever i go, via history, to an unavailable location i see a popup dialog like this:
2011-04-02_12-41-36.png
and xy stays in the same folder i was before going "back".

instead of that, i'd like to just see the "old" error message that appears over the list:
2011-04-02_13-03-37.png
is there a way to do that?

Agreed. Next version will do better.

thanks! :D

BTW, going "up" also gives the "create location" dialog.
can you change that as well?

Minor suggestion on this:
when an unavailable drive is found, say "V:\", going upwards should smoothly go to "My Computer" instead of just popping a notice: "Drive not found - The drive you have selected could not be found: - v:\".

Is it possible to get rid of the notification pop-up when this happens? How?

Would it be possible to get the notification done through the status bar?

My problem with this is that navigating with backspace or double click on empty space (goes up) stops at the notification window that says the drive is not available, forcing me to go to the tree and selecting another available drive.

I'm talking about network/removable drives that are unavailable but must be kept on locked/permanent tabs as they will go back periodically. :)

tried with flash drive: opened a tab for flash drive, took drive out of system block, got yellow triangle in that tab, tried double-click or backspace - both put me to MyComp(if tab was locked MyComp opened in new tab).
am i still doing not what you have problems with.? :)

What about this?
Create a new folder for the latest XYplorer, fresh install, open the .exe, go to a folder like c:\program files\audacity and close it, saving.

Open the <xydata>\Panes\1\pane.ini and do a search\replacement for any drive your PC hasn't instead of c:\. Save the .ini and restart XYplorer. Try to navigate using backspace to an upper dir than the inexistent root. Bingo.
