Delete a juction or symbolic link?

Is there the option to delete just the junction point or the sym link not the underlying target.
The current delete operation delete the target's content completely if the target folder contains stuff.

I have Windows 7 and removing sym link does not delete the contents of the object. Removes only the link.

There's another problem: I can not copy a Symbolic Link to a different location - instead SymLink copied object SymLink mit all contents.

But last - is problem of Windows. Sometime XYplorer can probably process this action correctly despite wrong handling Windows.

XYplorer v.9.90.0403

I am using windows XP.
v9.90.0401
Deletion of junction deletes the contents.
I would rather that XYplorer provide the option to delete the junction itself or unlink the junction so that we can delete it.

Also note that creation of junction and symlink cannot be undo.

for Windows XP there are three junction functions. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=205524
I don't know what and how uses them XYplorer.
And besides there is an additional tool - Junction v1.06 from Mark Russinovich. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 96768.aspx

If you can understand - read it. The resolution of problem probably lies there.
For me it is too difficult.
But I understand that XYplorer behaves as it requires Windows.
Maybe Don knows how to change the behavior of these functions.
And maybe you will find a solution.

Cannot confirm. Just the junction is deleted. (XP SP3)

The junction is deleted off cause but if there is some file inside that junction directory, it is deleted as well. This is not desireable.
Also junction pointer creation operation cannot be undo.

No, not here.
