OT: How to consolidate small PDF's using PDFill
Posted: 11 Feb 2011 01:25
Decided to share this since it took a bit of effort to locate what I needed to do this task:
Had various sets of six "receipts" from online payments that only used a small portion of each 'page' and look something like As you can see, there's a lot of wasted blank space so I wanted to condense them into something like How to do it? There may be other ways but what worked for me was to use http://www.plotsoft.com/pdf_tools_free.html to
1) Merge of the set of 6 into one large PDF via option 1
2) Crop output file using option 4 on all pages by setting left/right margins to 1.5" or so, and bottom margin to 8.5" with a top margin of .3" or so
3) Using Adobe Reader, print the output of step 2 using a 1x3 multi-page setup to a new PDF
There seems to be a nbr of appl that will merge PDF's but a free one that crops a page was harder to find so that's why I'm sharing here.
This was the background for files that I needed to re-date in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6143.
