Well, the title says it all. As in WE, it's much easier to just type the filter criteria in a small field just after the address bar.

Not a button. We already can set a button to toggle visual filter. What I mean is a field to directly type the filter.

:D :D :D +1 For LIve filtering - I think I posted on this before - it is about the ONLY feature I miss from DOpus.

I, as well, am waiting for live filtering. Sometimes I want to search a file, type the first three letters and I realized that it is not the file I'm searching. I do it again, and finally I have to use ctrl+j...

Maybe it would be enough, if XY memorized my keypresses, and when I pressed up or down button right after quick search, XY jumped to the next file which fitted to my keypresses.

Check Help for underrated feature Spot & Jump...

I do know that and use it regurarly. But it cannot help if I start to type quick search because I believed, only one file I have with that starting letters. Not faster the ctrl+j

OK, but overloading UP and DOWN in this context is not a perfect solution either I think. How would you define the context? Press UP/DOWN up to 2 seconds after the last type-ahead input?

Don is there anything we can say to persuade you to bump live filtering?

Nice developer, does developer want a biscuit

Cheers

Excellent - thanks Don.

Is there an updated roadmap as to what you are planning to include in 10 before it's release?

Or are we just going by the original roadmap?

Thanks

Andy

For example yes. It would be suitable for me. :) But if you are working on a fast, really usable live filtering, maybe there is no point in taking hard effort of developing this.
