Change to Status Bar text when adding jobs
Posted: 08 Oct 2010 04:17
Currently, when adding jobs to the queue, the Status Bar shows a message such as "copy of 1 item added as job #3".
I think it would be beneficial to change this, both for the sake of clarity, as well as to give more details.
Here is what I suggest, given through examples of various scenarios:
----------------------------------
Scenario - Copy 1 file:
Job #3 added - Copy 1 file - D:\Music\Don's Greatest Hits.mp3 => C:\Misc
Scenario - Copy 3 files:
Job #4 added - Copy 3 files - D:\Music\<assorted> => C:\Misc
Scenario - Copy 1 directory:
Job #5 added - Copy 1 folder - C:\Misc => D:\Data
Scenario - Copy 3 directories:
Job #6 added - Copy 3 folders - D:\Pics\<assorted> => C:\Data
Scenario - Copy 6 directories and 17 files (seperate from the directories):
Job #7 added - Copy 6 folders and 17 files - D:\Games\<assorted> => C:\Misc
----------------------------------
To be clear, the terms "folders" and "files" apply only to what was selected in the root folder.
Also, the forum won't let me show it, but the "=>" should have TWO spaces on either side of it.
What do you think?
