Actually I'm squeezing my brain to find some extra value for the coffee cup. Its position or size or count could echo something -- but what...? Any ideas?

The cup could pop on inactive pane, filled.
Each moving to the opposite pane could make it swap pane (ie, cup always on inactive) - and each moving could make it with a little bit less coffee, 'til an empty cup.
Ah, makes me wish for more!
-few empty cups later could pop something more hottie... Or icy...
