A couple of tiny omissions in the help here:

Code: Select all

::help "idh_scripting_comref.htm#idh_sc_input";

Code: Select all

input(...  [style=s|m|w],  ...)
and
notes
on style=s:
...
on style=m/w: ...
are each missing the 'e' option listed in the styles section.

Hi Don, I'm not sure if you remembered from the recent thread concerning SC thumbsconf that the syntax statement does not include "transparency". The rest of the script command info does reflect it. Just a reminder.
Syntax
thumbsconf([settings="ShowCaption,ZoomToFill,Style,Padding"], [separator=","])

Code: Select all

::help "idh_scripting_comref.htm#idh_sc_freshhere";
::help "idh_scripting_comref.htm#idh_sc_readonlyhere";
I think the formatting for the syntax is slightly off in each case. Should it be
Syntax
freshhere
and
Syntax
readonlyhere
?

I noticed that the second example under SC zip_extract(),
Extract to "test\" (in current path):
text zip_extract("test.zip")
the script doesn't match the explanation text, also I noticed that under SC showstatus, the command colorfilter() wasn't added as an affected command.

Code: Select all

::help "idh_scripting_comref.htm#idh_sc_formatlist";
These look inconsistent:
Syntax

format

f = filter (wildcards)
F = filter (no wildcards)
Examples

Filter f (no wildcards) versus F (wildcards):
Is the 2nd one back to front?

I didn't bother with it for a long time, but indeed it looks like a mix-up.

Also on https://www.xyplorer.com/support.php, I noticed in the Current Change Log line
XYplorer Change Log as of 2020

That use of "as of" reads oddly to me (my first language is British English).

I investigated and found https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictio ... lish/as-of, which documents how I think you are using the term ("starting from a particular time"), but that usage appears to be when referring to something that will happen in the future at a particular time and then continue.

I think that this page is better at showing that the phrase can mean different things, depending on the context: https://blog.harwardcommunications.com/ ... /02/as-of/.

I read your sentence to mean that the link is to a copy of the Change Log as it was in 2020, which is not your intention.

I am not an editor and I will be happy to be corrected by anyone with better knowledge of grammar than me, but I offer the suggestion that changing "as of 2020" to "from 2020 onwards" would be clearer.
