Ctrl+Shift+G bug

Ctrl+G, past in the path "C:\Documents and Settings\Dave Gordon\Documents\Backgrounds\". Backgrounds folder selected in the tree and the files are displayed in the list.

Ctrl+Shift+G, past in the path "C:\Documents and Settings\Dave Gordon\Documents\Backgrounds\". "C:\Documents and Settings\Dave Gordon\Documents\Giant Car Boot - Denham_files\" selected in the tree!!! Background folder files are displayed in the file list.

It appears to select the same directory in the tree regardless of the path I paste. Pasting a totally different directory sometimes changes the directory displayed in the tree, that directory will then be displayed repeatedly.

XY is 0057, I suspect it's something recent because I normally use Ctrl+E and I think it's only happened since the change to Ctrl+Shift+G. I did press Ctrl+E first before I remembered it had been changed if that might be relevant. XY evolves so fast it's hard to keep up with the improvements!!

Yes. A real bug and a correct analysis. Thanks!

I was wondering if "Go to from Here" was not superfluous since we have the address bar... appears somebody is still using it.

The reason I use "Go to from here" is that it does not give me a history entry. I use it if I repeatedly want to go to different folders that I copy from a graphics editor. I don't need the history since I'm not going to view them again (in the short term) and it saves loosing history entries.

Now I've looked at "Go to", that does not appear to add the pasted entry to the drop down history list. I was sure it used to. Another bug?? YES. If I paste the address in the address bar; then it is added to the "Go to" history (and the address bar history), but not the reverse!

Sorry. I'll try not to find any more bugs, two is enough for one day.
