Just extra info for debugging, as the problem can (potentially) occur on both versions.

Great, Don.admin wrote:I think I fixed the Double Entries on Tree bug.
Some may think this is a cosmetic problem, a mere matter of restarting XY and voilá.
But it's a hassle when you DON'T want XY to save session, therefore will HAVE to lose and rebuild current session; and you don't know if both (or none!) of those folders are reliable enough to deal with - I LOVE to experiment, but having no backups of such folders prior to experimenting (and it ALWAYS happens when I am at work with something, so backing up is just a waste of time) makes such idea a no-go for me.
So let's hope this time the ghosts are gone for good.
Thank you!

Re: Double Entries on Tree.
...I'm afraid things may have got worse, Don.
This time happened a thing which I've never (=1 year of heavy usage of XY as nearly the default file manager) saw before: unzipping a file doesn't showed expected folder even on list!
It was clearly shown by other instance of XY, but not on the main. Going to another tab (same pane) and back forced XY to refresh and display newly created folder on both list and tree.

Re: Double Entries on Tree.
Thanks to a PM'ed script by SkyFrontier I could finally understand, reproduce and fix the process that could lead to Double Entries on Tree.

Re: Double Entries on Tree.
Not sure if I should start a new thread, or add to this one.
I have experienced seeing double (ha ha) entries in the actual Tab view. I'm displaying files on a Flash drive. Simply delete a directory. Then, when the list refreshes, I see double directory entries. Does it every time.
NTFS formatted flash drive. Tried it on an internal HD, and it works fine.
Layout:
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder1\files
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder2\files
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder3\files
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder4\files
If I have the subfolders# visible in the listing
single click subfolder3
hit DELETE key, I see the confirmation dialog
Click Yes
The tab listing updates;
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder1
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder1
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder2
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder2
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder4
R:\folder\subfolder\subfolder4
...is what I see. If I hit F5, it refreshes and all is fine.
Edit: This was done on v9.80.0020

Wow. But I could not reproduce it on my USB stick. And never seen it before.EnjoyRC wrote: ...

Can anybody reproduce it?
