Neat Feature for future release

Before purchasing XyPlorer, I had checked out some other alternatives for my long used PowerDesk 6 (and older). One of the products that I had liked, but gave up on because it didn't seem to have much current support was UltrExplorer 2.xx. One of the most useful features of this software were the icons that appeared in the middle bar when you had two panes showing. Four of the icons allowed you to immediately copy selected files from left to right (or vice versa) or move selected files left to right (or vice versa). A very useful feature when dealing with local versus network, or local vs. USB drive folders. Would love to see this implemented in a future release of XyPlorer.
OR
Is there an existing way to implement the same effect?

Hi and welcome, rfs000!
-PowerDesk user, too!
You can achieve similar effects by using Pane>Copy/Move/Backup to Other Pane. You can also use CKS (Custom Keyboard Shortcuts) for the job.
Or have a script for any other less usual file operation you can think of...
As you can see, there are plenty of possibilities around here!
Happy XYploring!

IMHO, these command don't belong to the menu Pane because copy/move/backup affect
files. All the other command command in the menu affect
view/browsing. I looked for these commands in the Edit menu at first. (And couldn't believe that such basic commands were not there) In the end I found them while remapping Keyboard Shortcuts.

Agreed, but the other menus are so large already and there's so much space in Panes...

Partially agree.
Can't properly speak interpreting author's point-of-view, but I believe that they are there because he considers "Panes" as an XY characteristic, deciding then to highlight that feature so to speak. But I also have to understand that even such feature should fit into industry standards' "Edit" menu.

Almost correct: less to highlight but to keep it one place. And IMO to have all pane-related commands under one menu "pane" can be justified. After all XY is not a classic ("orthodox") dual pane file manager but an Explorer style file manager with optional dual pane. Copying to the other pane makes no sense when you don't use the other pane, and I know that I have many users that give a shit about DP. For those users it would be confusing and distracting to have these commands under Edit.

It is unlikely that I do something like this.
But once we have CEA (Custom Event Actions ) you can customize the right-click on the DP splitter and add any commands you like in a popup menu...
