Hi, I'm trying xyplorer and its great. A question if I may though? I have a Nikon d60 camera which when it is connected shows in windows explorer, and a trial of xplorer2 in both win 7 and win xp. As you would be aware the camera and scanner wizard in win 7 is bleeding awful, not a patch on the old xp version. What I want to do is download pictures of my choice from my camera to a folder I choose. I cant get the camera to be recognised by Xyplorer, Have I missed something in config or is this something Xyplorer cant do? Happy to pay for prog if it can do this.
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Searching for "Nikon" found this quite similar prior thread:

Hi, Thanks for the prompt response, Its a shame because I think xyplorer is the best file manager around, and Ive been around since xtree. Not being rude but I wont pay for a prog that doesnt recognise my camera when win 7 and xp do it by default.
Thanks again

Understandable. Come back in around 6 months if you like.

But did you look around all the other brilliant things XY can do for you right now?
If you buy the lifetime licence now, you could enjoy all those current features while waiting for Don to implement the roadmap

one feature is not enough to put XYplorer aside!!

I agree fully! Though it would also depend on how much of OP's usage of a FM involves that camera...if it's 10% of the total time, then XY will help out in the other 90%, but if nbrs are reversed, then it's more understandable that he'd want to wait.

Hi, I hope I was not over the top with my comments, but when I can use my camera (several ones actually) with win 7 and my networked xp pcs, which i regularly do, unfortunately I will choose to wait. As I said I believe xyplorer to be a great prog, but hopefully the previous links in this thread and mine may make the development that much quicker. I will use cubic explorer for my cameras in the meantime, its not as good as xyplorer but its free.
Hope its sorted soon, and thanks for your prompt response.
