Is it possible to highlight the last 5 visited/used folders?

Hello all,

I am new to XYplorer and have been using AC Browser Plus before (which is unfortunately no longer developed). However, ACBP has some, likely unique, user interface features that I am certainly going to miss elsewhere. One of them is that ACBP did simply display the last 5 (or 7, etc..) used/visited folders in bold font. A super-simple but for me a highly efficient navigation aid.
Would it be possible to achieve such a setting with XYplorers customization options?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!

That's something that I've not seen before and it would be up to Don to decide if it's an idea that's feasable...however, have you checked out Hotlist and Breadcrumb? Ok, so it's not quite the same but it may help somewhat.

And of course, you also have History so between all three of those, you should be able to backtrack fairly easily.

Thanks for the info J_C!

yes, I am just learning XYplorer and came across the hotlist. I will need some time to see how the hotlist and everything else works for me. The nice thing about the mentioned "highlighting" of recently-used-folders in ACBP was, that it did not require any thinking, typing, any action from me; the info was always automatically delivered, without being a distraction.

Hi,

I like that highlighting/bolding idea. However, there are already a lot of coloring and bolding options in the tree that might conflict with yet another highlighting layer.

Tip: have a look at the Minitree -- it might be even better than highlighting the last 5...
