How to turn off showing detail pane when clicking on status

Hi,
Is there any way to turn off the showing of the bottom detail pane when you click with the left mouse button on the status/info bar? I typically click on that area of application windows in order to bring them to the front but when doing this with XYplorer, I don't want the detail pane to also show.

Using XYplorer beta 9.10.0015 on Win7 Pro 64bit.

But what might be more useful for you is to leave it enabled but use slow click (click down, hold a second, release) on the status bar, which will change to the window but not toggle the info panel.

Yes. Actually I would prefer a shift-click to do that. Generally, this and other features could be handled nicely with full mouse event customization added to XYplorer in which you could fully customize what happens when a mouse button (with optional modifier key) is pressed on the status bar vs tab vs a folder vs a file name vs a thumbnail etc.
If you agree, add your vote of support to http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5015

Yes, I think everyone is by now aware of your wish to have full mouse configuration abilities.
No reason to start a campaign all over the forums for this. :P
