I don't know how important it is for others, but i face the problem of jumping around the dates too often.
I wished there were a calendar view to jump to that date quickly and see data from that date. I do use the "find files > date" now but having the calendar definitely is user-friendly for me.
I could of course try and whip up a script (only if i had enough time).
Wondering if anyone else comes across piles of data daily and wished a "Calendar view" existed.

Yes! I agree that this idea does makes sense!

Though I suspect it could be considered as bloat by some, but one gets quite used to a calandar pop-up being available, esp on web in reservation sites (airlines/hotels) and newspapers (stories/obituaries/etc) so having it here makes sense...there are times when I can better picture the time frame I want when seen visually on a calendar than strictly by dates.

I'd see it as being avail only when requested (using a small icon like others do) so as not to affect layout...and I presume that creating a correct calandar could be a effort so that might also affect it.

I am glad someone agrees and yeah a small icon in the find files> date would be great.

If I may ride the wave of this wish, I would like this "calendar" feature in the Info panel where we modify files' dates. Something like a calendar icon or drop-down-to-calendar -- ala Outlook -- will be a bold tick for usability.

I programmed a calendar once in JavaScript, and I'm the type of guy who does not like to do things twice. And who likes to do the more interesting things first. Bad luck for the calendar...
