XYplorer-Lite or XYplorer-Media

Admin, if you ever find the time;

Can you make a Lite version of XYplorer that only specifies in media management / previewing? Quickly browsing through wav/mp3/aiff/avi/mpeg/pictures and similar files.

I mainly use Tracker for quickly searching, sorting, previewing audio files. Video too but not as much. Apart from tabs, search, bookmarks, preview, sorting i don't use any other option XYplorer has. With Tracker/XYplorer i find the starting time a bit long. Well not really long ofcourse but it takes longer than pressing i.e. 'Ctrl F' in a folder if i want to search.

Would removing most other options in XYplorer, apart from what i mentioned above, speed up the loading time much?

No. Buying a faster computer would. :lol:

I never understood people complaining about loading time. On my machine it never takes more than 1 second. Maybe you have virus scanners running in the background? It's not necessary:

(a) surf to Shields UP!! by Steve Gibson, and do what you're told: http://www.grc.com/
(b) don't open suspicious email attachments.
(c) check for Windows updates often.

Just did a search in the forum for a lite version and this thread came up. Can't believe nobody else ever asked for a XYplorer lite, or only media version. In the music and video production branche where i work such an app would mean a world of improvement.

Anyway, just to let you know i'm still interested and willing to pay the full price for it.

Regards,

Okay, but why would a shrinked version be more attractive than the full version? Point out one feature that you think stops media people from buying...

You mean you would pay the full price for a version that's lighter than the full version? :? The interface is extremely configurable, you can hide almost everything... again: what's there that stops you from buying now?
