Unable to Map Drive after Win 7 Upgrade

Xy 8.80 on Windows 7 Ultimate

This is indirectly related to XY so I hope Don doesn't mind me posting this here. I updated my Vista machine to Win 7 and now I can no longer connect to it from my XP machine. When I try to map a drive with XY it prompts for login/pw but rejects the login attempt even though the credentials are valid. The drive is still shared and I am able to Remote Desktop to the Win7 machine ok. I tried disabling the firewall but no luck. It seems the upgrade maybe tightened the security?

Thanks for any help!

Found the problem.
Under Vista the drive was shared as "C$"
After the upgrade it is shared as "C"
However, I was unable to add "C$" as a share name, getting the message it already exists, even though it does not
