Im trying to replace the explorer with xyplorer wherever possible. currently I'm trying to reconfigure the double-click to "recycler". The Problem doing so is, xyplorer opens, but not in Recycler (sam with "my Computer" - reading the command line manuel, I found nothing, too

how do i have to choose "mystartpath" to open those folders?!

tried several things like "Recycler" or the Recycler-GUID with no change

With Recycle Bin available in the tree as of the last stable version, may I ask of what benefit is the behaviour that you're trying to achieve? As for GUIDs, I recall Don saying that they will come when Win7 integration will get under way.

When going to my Desktop and klicking the Icon, I'd like to use my good new xyplorer, not the old Windoes one. even if you may not understand the benefit when using Recycler, the benefit when using "my computer" should be more obvious

OK, but it raises another conundrum: should the view of "My Computer" be as it is in Explorer or the XYplorer way? Regardless, I believe that with introduction of GUID handling it should be possible to achieve what you're trying to do.

The good news is that the following two command lines work to open XYplorer with either the Desktop or the Recycle Bin opened:

Code: Select all

xyplorer.exe Desktop

Code: Select all

xyplorer.exe "Recycle Bin"
.
The bad news is that I don't know whether XYplorer now opens in the correct location when double-clicking the relevant icon with XYplorer set as the default file manager. I'd like to test that, but I don't trust such settings (even XYplorer's ) enough to risk my brand-new Windows installation. Basically, I'd try the latest beta version.

Should it not work: according to the roadmap found here, support for Windows 7 features as well as support for non-drive devices (I'm not sure under which your request falls) is some way off, unfortunately. Don (the developer) may be able to give you a rough indication, but given what's before it on the roadmap I'd say it's months away.
