Preview of .lnk

Selecting a .lnk, *Raw View* shows the contents of the .lnk in hex. OK!

If possible, Preview shows the contents of the linked file - and in the heading it shows the path to that file. (Even if it's .html or .xls, for example.) That's fine.
If *not* posible, Preview shows the same as Hex View. (I.e. the .lnk in hex) And no info about path of the link. Makes not much sense for me.

Different reasons for "not possible" preview:
- target doesn't exist: shouldn't Preview just say this, *and* show the path to the missing file?
- target is a folder: should also show the path, and either tell "it's a folder", or even better *show* the contents of the folder?
- target isn't previewable: it's shown in hex, but without a note to the used path. Could that be added somehow?

Agree with this mostly! I don't see how the folder contents could easily be shown but at least an alternate msg to "Not a previewed format" would be good...like "Target is a folder" or such...

And when target isn't there, msg like "Target not found - Broken Shortcut" or equiv would be preferable, I think.

Thanks, I improved the messages.

To stop auto raw view if non previewed file uncheck the option in config / previewed formats.

If a linked file is previewed then the Type label is shown blue (marked color). The full path to the previewed file is shown in the tooltip of the Type label.
