-Why not having a %recent% parameter so I can easily manage my "recents" folder, as I constantly need to reach that folder on various system configurations I have?
Thanks!

It depends what kind of recent you mean. For example, on my Win 7 system, Explorer provides for "Recently Changed" and "Recent Places". What is on the roadmap (did you look? ;)) is "Recently Used Files List". However, it does depend on what type of recent you're referring to.

%recent% ==> %USERPROFILE%\recent

At least till XP.

Howto find out this yourself?
- open DOS-Box
- type 'set'
- press <enter>
- read this output
- check this against your folder structure
- think about how to combine that

HTH?

No..that's XY Recent list...I think he's referring to "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Recent" which would go into "Special System Folders".

That's it, mr. Hallgren. C:\Documents and Settings\"user"\Recent\.
Will try later the %recent% ==> %USERPROFILE%\recent idea. Thanks, Stefan. Don't know much on parameters, have to study XY a bit to be up to date. :D

Just call me JC if you want..."Mr" is a bit too formal here (but still appreciated!)..

BTW, looking up this folder was a good thing! I found that I had a bunch of VERY old shortcuts in there! Had 570 of em...dating back to 2007...not sure why they were still there but a good thing to cleanup.

Addendum: I tried to send you a PM re another item...please chk to see that you can get them.
