XYplorer Beta Club

I was on youtube and happened to type in xyplorer and found nothing then I typed in Totalcommander and got loads. Shouldnt there be at least one video introducing the features of XY to the world?

Yeah but I am not very competent with XYplorer at the moment, when I have learnt more I will be tempted to make a video, I have made Youtube vids in the past.
Its just a good way to introduce a program to a wide audience. When I get a new prog. I often go to youtube to see if there are any good videos on it.

What software you use for making vids about software?

bb flash back (is a free version) from blueberry software. I just liked the post video tools for editing and adding arrows/text whatever but camstudio is good too and free. If you are not doing a voice over i.e. no sound then wink is good and free

So then you might be a good person to do this as you have the current "new user" experience so you may better relate to someone who's not a XY user...maybe we'd need videos targeting heavy FM users as well?
But I think ones for the "average Joe" might have more value...and as long as you'd say that you're just a fellow user so viewers don't think it's from Don, I'd say give it a shot even now.

BTW, there are a few "videos" on the XY site such as http://www.xyplorer.com/videos/vid001.htm which are linked from http://www.xyplorer.com/features.php...maybe as a start, these could be converted as needed, some audio added and uploaded to YouTube?

Thanks I will check the links you mention. I may have a go soon - starting off simple just to show layout and how to change things a bit to your liking and especially the cool image mouse overs.

Edit, I made one - its rubbish but it's a start! will do another better one
