Make minitree available in context menu

I think it would be good to include minitree in the context menu when i right-click on tree's empty space. Seems pretty obvious and this would increase the discoverability of this great feature.

But that's just the favorites list, MiniTree would look a bit displaced here.

I've always wanted to ask this: is it common to show favorites menu in tree context menu? I have nothing against it, just feels weird.
Especially tags and comments meant for the list appear in tree. It seems unlikely that someone will select an item in the list and right-click on the tree to set tags and comments.
While minitree could belong here which seemed obvious at least to me. But if you think "Lets not clutter the menu", then its fine too.

Feels unweird to me, since it's one of the oldest features in XY and I use this feature all the time ever since. And even if it wasn't for my personal habits: Tree is about navigating to folders, and favorites are about the same thing. What's weird about this?

I don't get that part. What tags and comments appear where?

Probably that serendipity has the tweak to show the full Favorites menu on right-click - PopupFullFavMenu=1 - in which case commands for comments & tags do appear there.

Ah yes, sure! Which reminds me that the placing of Tags&Comments inside Favorites menu was not the wisest thing... Maybe later (VFO...) I'll add a new top menu for them. BTW, I also have plans for a third category of tagging:
keywords, which will also be stored in tag.dat, and allow easy keywording of files (one file ->
many keywords, as opposed to ->
one tag)...

Sounds great!
OT but it reminded me: could we have Tags & Comments added to LM? Because it would help nicely when trying to do some cleaning for example (e.g. with the icons, to determine which items do not exists anymore) -- I know you made a DB Cleanup, but I don't trust it

Also, I have items tagged on a few external devices, and wishes to do some cleaning without the need to plug them all in at once just so that their tags/comments are not removed

Not a bad a idea! I wonder why I did not have it myself... maybe there's a catch to it.

Anyway, bump me next year.

Yup Jacky said it, it was the PopupFullFavMenu=1 in my setup that made it weird for me. I just turned it off and you are right feels unweird now.
And +1 for Tags & Comments in LM.
