no mouse down preview in details, list or small icon mode!

i.e. in details mode when I move the mouse pointer to the icon of a image file and hold the left mouse button, no preview appears. this preview appears in thumbnail mode.

Its been like this for quite a few versions including the latest, ver .70.0151 .

ahh, sorry...

I have just realised that I only get a "mouse down blow up" on a thumbnail itself not the icon.
its a pity, as this could, easily, be the default for the icon.

I will put a request into the request forum instead.
