No focus change on drag&drop start

Hi,

as you might have noticed I drag&drop alot ;)

well one of the things that is going to drive me nuts some day soon is that Tracker always assumes the focus when you start to drag an item. Explorer has this neat feature where when you start to drag a file it doesn't assume the focus. I find this weirdly hard to explain, so here's a concrete example:

If you have 2 explorer windows, one is maximized and one is just a view of a folder for example (not maximized) and you have the windowed folder infront of the maximized full explorer, and you start dragging a file from the explorer in the background the back window doesn't get the focus, meaning the windowed folder in the foreground stays on top so I can drag the file into it easily, without having to hover over the taskbar to bring it back up. Just try it if you never noticed it ;)

I'm so used to it that I usualy place the window I want to drag to somewhere and the start dragging, which makes my target window disappear... as I said this is gonna drive me insane one day soon :)

please PLEASE make it so tracker behaves like explorer in these situations, cause it's actually quite smart!

bye

yeah that woudl be cool 8)

btw just wanted to say, if you dont want to scroll to the taskbar you can just hit Alt+Tab to activate the previously activated window (and hold Alt and hit many times Tab to go to another one...)

It ain't possible. VB-programmers out there, proof me wrong!

@jacky: yea I know, I just always forget when I need it :)

@admin: yea I feared as much... used to write quite a few things in VB myself, it is probably possible though but only with so much efford that it's just not worth it. Well I thought it was worth a try, been a while since I used VB so maybe they changed more than I thought in .NET

I came here to make the same request, because the focus change on drag-and-drop initiation drives me nuts.

Do you know any program that can do the trick apart from Explorer? I don't.
