Please make list item selection with mouse more efficient

Hi all
I think XYplorer is a very handy tool and thus convinced me to buy a lifetime license.
But what I am missing is the possibility to hover above list items with my mouse cursor and have the full row selected.
By doing so you can faster attribute column data to currently selected items.
Moreover it is awkward to have to move the mouse cursor on the item name in order to select and activate it.
It would be more user-friendly to simply hover with your mouse cursor above the row and double-click
anywhere on it to start/open the associated item. Or right-click anywhere on the row to pop up the context menu for that item.
The screenshots below illustrate my suggestions which are Windows explorer standard behaviour on Vista.
Perhaps this can be added as option if not already available somewhere deeply buried in the configuration dialog.
I am sorry for the German words in the screenshots.
Regards

Welcome!
You can already do that with the option "Full row select", you will find it in menu "Tools>Customize List".

Thank you. But your recommendation fulfills only one part of my wish. If I hover over a different item a second row marker should
highlight this item and "follow" the mouse cursor movement.
Regards

By the way is there an option to change the color for the "Customize list-> Full row select" marker.
I cannot change the color from dark gray to blue for example.
Thanks for any hints.

Well, thats what windows explorer in Vista/Win 7 do because you don't know which row you are on. But in XY you can have alternate grid/stripes (menu "Tools>Configuration>Interface Colors" check "Show grid" and "Zebra striping") hence you know which row you are on as you move along. If you are having difficulty keeping within row, you can increase the row size (hold ctrl+Shift and scroll).
Your other question:

The "full row select" color is not customizable in XY because its assigned by your OS.
I think its this:
In XP, right-click on Desktop>Properties>Appearance>Advanced and from pull-down menu choose "Selected items" and set your color.

Thanks again. This is obvious and has solved my issue.
I have also noticed that after pressing going back and forth in history(ALT+Left/ALT+Right) the full row selection is not remembered. This is perhaps a bug.

I never use it so am not sure, maybe its on per-tab or might depend on "Folder view settings".
@Don or others who know: is it?

Yes FVS can include List style, which Full Row Select is a part of. So changing location might have that setting changed because of that. Check if you have any FV set (for the visited paths, or as Default) and if so if they include List style. In such a case, you might want to update your FV to include the new List style settings (FRS).

No folder views have been set or customized here, so I think we can rule this out as being the cause.
Nevertheless your help is appreciated.

Right, misread the whole thing, my bad -- I thought the Full Row Select option was gone.
Actually, this isn't a bug (and has nothing to do with FVS) but standard XY behavior : going back/forth in history is just changing location, and in such cases past selections are never remembered, no, as the only thing XY does remember is what you see on your History : the paths you (recently) visited. (Selections are remembered when switching tabs, however, (as well as scrolling position,) because switching Tab is more than simply changing location.)

OK, thanks for clarifying things. I was just a little confused and assume that I will get used to this standard behaviour over time.
