Owner column

I think that it would be great to have column that is about the ownership of the files and folders. In Xyplorer there is no way to figure out who the owner of the file is, not even under the properties. Windows normally provides owner column in the explorer

I think that, potentially, your request is similar to my wish here:
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 563#p39563 except it's specific in terms of which column you would like

No way is wrong: Owner can be shown in the
file info tip (hovering the file name).

Reading between the lines, I think part of the wish was to have 'Owner' as a sortable criteria in the List

Hello and welcome tonifelfe
If you keep waiting until somebody else comes up with the same ideas you had long ago, you shouldn't wonder if these wishes take a bit longer to be implemented.
Don (the developer) is pretty straightforward, so the worst that can happen after phrasing a wish is that it doesn't go along with his intentions for XY or he doesn't like the idea, which would both result in a No!, but then at least you know...
So become an active forum member and share your ideas.

Oh, so i believe he doesnt like my idea. I have told this to him in personal emails - and after that i bought XYplorer license. So i will not give up my hope, and mostly track forum entrys in passive mode.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
FYI: The best way to get things implemented in XY is to share them here so that others can add input to it....and the more people who ask/confirm it, the more chance of it happening...if you're the only one asking for it, it may not make it but it can even then if it's deemed a good idea and easy to implement.
Also, based on profile dates, it seems you joined the forum some months ago but just posted now...so where were you before with this wish?
BTW, sending emails to Don is something that even I rarely do as I don't want to bother him when the forum works just as well...so don't be passive here but be active and you may see results!
And when Don says "I''ll think about it", that's actually quite a positive response if you know how things go...he's even implemented a few items that he said originally "no way" to, so....

I agree, when i did this mistake i was not aware that there is an active forum....
Nevertheless: my wish for every day usage is a sync function.
As an example you can see T****Comm***** functionality.
Different from Sp***Comm***** it can handle ZIP archives as "panel" too.

Yes, it can be
quite active at times! I sometimes have not checked in for just few hours and found a lot had occurred on an active discussion of a planned change, for example.
Nevertheless: my wish for every day usage is a sync function.
That is on the XY "roadmap", though admittedly quite far down...I believe that a thread may already exist that would be more dedicated to that...if not, I'd suggest making that a separate one so that this thread remains more focused.
BTW, we tend to refer to the competing products by some common terms, like TC, x2, DO and such...so using these abbrev's is preferred...if it's a more obscure app, then we may say the full name at least once in a post to make sure we all know what it is.
I personally use x2 lite as an alternative for when I need to do a sync for now...though having Dual Pane in XY helps in making manual sync easier, I've found.
