I have a Standard License Pro and was wondering if I wanted to upgrade to the lifetime license of Pro is this possible?

It is possible by purchasing a Lifetime license, but I am personally not aware of a discounted upgrade path (which is what I think you were implying, yes?). I know for sure that Home edition cannot be upgraded to Pro and there's no such language for Standard version so it may be possible. Can I upgrade from Standard to Lifetime License?
No. If the full major version cycle of your Standard License is completed
and you still want to continue using the latest versions fo XYplorer you
have to purchase a new Standard License or a Lifetime License.
AFAIK, this is still not possible, mostly because Don doesn't have an automated way to do so and he doesn't have time to do it manually...I reviewed some old threads on this last nite, but didn't find the comment by Don I was looking for so it may have been via PM.fedup wrote:I have a Standard License Pro and was wondering if I wanted to upgrade to the lifetime license of Pro is this possible?
Well in my case the upgrade path is to 8.8 and currently am at 8.5 so do not know if that means I can upgrade or not.zer0 wrote:Stop Press!

Favorite Folders (from menu Favorites) is included in the Home edition, what is not is the Catalog, a "favorite pane" that you can show through menu Window|Show Catalog. While both refer to "favorites" they are two different features.fedup wrote:The big price increase in 2010 (paying $50 CDN for a Pro version that I already own) is why I am asking and I also noticed that there is a home lifetime license offer. I only use a fraction of the Pro features currenty. One of these featurs is Favorite Folders and I am a bit unsure if that is the same Favorites that is not included in the home edition?
Just to be clear: there is no "update fee" or anything, but one can buy a new Standard License Pro or a new Lifetime License Pro at any time of course.j_c_hallgren wrote:AFAIK, this is still not possiblefedup wrote:I have a Standard License Pro and was wondering if I wanted to upgrade to the lifetime license of Pro is this possible?
Sorry, what I meant was that there is not a way to apply the purchase price of the standard to lifetime and thus pay only the difference.jacky wrote:Just to be clear: there is no "update fee" or anything, but one can buy a new Standard License Pro or a new Lifetime License Pro at any time of course.j_c_hallgren wrote:AFAIK, this is still not possiblefedup wrote:I have a Standard License Pro and was wondering if I wanted to upgrade to the lifetime license of Pro is this possible?
Hmm, so this text is misleading. I will try to improve it. The point is simply: There are no upgrade discounts in XYplorer.fedup wrote:Well in my case the upgrade path is to 8.8 and currently am at 8.5 so do not know if that means I can upgrade or not.zer0 wrote:Stop Press!

Which part you need that is not in the Home Edition?fedup wrote:Thanks for the clarification. I can not justify spending $50 CDN for a product which I do not fullly utilize now. Guess I will just let my current license upgrade cycle run out and use XYplorer the way it is.
Don't think there is. I use very few of the features of XYplorer.admin wrote:Which part you need that is not in the Home Edition?fedup wrote:Thanks for the clarification. So, get the Home Lifetime License! It's still just 15 US$.fedup wrote:Don't think there is.
