I'm using 8.50. I cannot display the status bar at the bottom of the window. I am not seeing how to turn it on in the help system, or as an option in the configuration dialog box. Am I simply missing the info?
How do I turn on the status bar?
Thanks.

Can you please post a screenshot of your XYplorer window? This is because AFAIK the Status Bar is always there and cannot be hidden

Create a screenshot (JPG or PNG file), then go to a reply window and below the text area there will be an area that is called "Upload attachment"

also, please resize it down to a reasonable size if you're on a large res sys...too big an image distorts the forum thread a bit.

I've zoomed in and underlined the status bar on your screenshot (see below). However, it appears to be empty, which I'm puzzled by

So I have an empty status bar. Hmmm, anyone else ever encounter this? I'm expecting to see the number of files in the pane, etc.

And it should. What happens when you put your mouse over one of the sections on your empty Statusbar ? If the tooltip shows (with the info that should be on the statusbar itself) then it might indicate a problem of font -- although the same font should be used for the Address Bar & Tabs I believe, and those seem to work fine. You might still wanna check/reset the font you have as General under Configuration - Fonts, just in case.

Aha! Thanks Jacky. It was my font choice that did it. I changed the font, and now I can see what I expect in the status bar. And apparently it wasn't the font itself (Tahoma), but the size I specified. I'll watch out for this in the future. Thanks!

What size was that? Zero?

Re: font size. I don't recall but I think I specified 8 or 9, which for some reason XYplorer converts to a slightly different value (like 8.25). Anyway, my original size did not register properly. Whether that's a Windows issue or an XYplorer issue, I don't know.

A potential issue (which I think I have fixed, but anyway) is when you change regional settings and swap dot and comma as decimal/thousand separator. Did you do that?

I did not switch regional settings or swap dot and comma as decimal/thousand separator.
