Tab with network path open becomes useless after a while

XY version: 8.40.0117

I've had this problem ever since I began using XY. If I open a network path (for example \\192.168.2.2\somefolder), it works fine. I browse it, copy files, etc. Then half a day or a full day later (can't tell the exact time before it happens), when I click the tab (or navigate to it with ctrl+tab) after having used other tabs, I get a message like this in a dialog box, even though the folder definitely still exists. If I enter the path again manually, it always navigates to it right away.

XYplorer

Couldn't find path:

\\192.168.2.2\somefolder

This drive or server is currently inaccessible or hidden by user settings.

OK

Strange. From looking at the code there should be no difference.

Are you using XY's server cache?
Is this a hidden or an admin share?

This happens to me too this morning after ~2h not accessing that Tab.
UNC, non-hidden.
Right now i didn't have this issue (tested with other share but same server, the tab/share in question is closed meanwhile)

I seen often it takes some time till our server response again, not with XY only, for WinEx too.
Maybe there's an timeout XY waiting not long enough?

Did you need any XY settings from me?

If it works via address bar it should work via tab select, too. Maybe you are right, and it just worked via address bar for AlexanderM because enough time had passed when he tried.

EDIT: can't you simply F5 the tab?

Just FYI

Just tested:

- yesterday evening, tab with UNC path is open, but inactive and not visible

A.)
- next morning (switch to DP) click on this UNC tab (tab is still inactive and not visible)
------ got the "This drive or server is currently inaccessible or hidden by user settings" message
------ the folder from the other panel is shown instead, while the tab header still shows the UNC path
------ so F5 didn't helps, got the message again
- now i chose this UNC path from my favorites ... and the share is displayed.

B.)
-- close XY without saving
-- start XY in non-DP
-- click on an another UNC tab
------ got the "This drive or server is currently inaccessible or hidden by user settings" message
------ the content from the before visible tab is shown instead, while the tab header still shows the UNC path
------ so F5 didn't helps, got the message again

The same for the first UNC path from above A.) again (because closing XY without saving?)

Using favorites, or pasting in AB helps.
The only bad is if you didn't know the URI anymore.

EDIT:
Test: yes, closing XY with saving and XY remembers the shares. (only XY start last now 20 sec)

Grunz. I'll check into this after Undo is up...

The only bad is if you didn't know the URI anymore? -> right-click tab: Copy Location Term

XYPlorer was fine for the first 6 months, now I am also getting the message, "server inaccessible or hidden by user settings"
If I right-button click on "My Network Places", a dialog, "Browse for Network Server..." appears - and I can find and select the server in question. And then I can do this for each server in turn.
However, when I hit "F5", these servers become inaccessible again.
Is this a Configuration setting (that I might have changed and now cannot find) or is it a bug?

:? This message is not present in the recent and current versions.
