Could you add "Compare selected pane items" in menu "Edit|Compare"?

Isn't 'Compare' right now only a single file compare? I thought it was.
Or are you simply saying that a maximum of two selected items would be handled?

In any case, wouldn't this thus fall into "Wishes" vs "TTQ&A"?

Sorry, i meant compare selected item in one pane with a selected item in other pane.
btw, i have a script to compare one file in one pane with all other files in another pane.
And yes, i should have posted this in wishes section.

OK, but since compare does only files it should say so. And it should be "focused". "Compare focused pane files" sound a bit funny to me. "Compare focused files of each pane"...hmmm... any better ideas anybody?

"Compare panes' focused files" ?

The existing items refer to "current file" as in "compare current file with file on clipboard" so maybe "compare current file on both panes"?
That would be consistent with present entries because to have two refer to "current" and one to "focused" would not be....

BTW, I think the quote may be misplaced in jacky's idea, as shouldn't it be "pane's" vs "panes'"?

No worries, I enhanced my pane comparison script even more.
