Help Sources
Download the original XYplorer Help Sources (zipped package containing HPJ, RTF, CNT, and TXT file) and roll your own Help format.
(update 2009-08-31, v8.30)
It seems the PDF is no longer supported. Would someone care to take up that format or at least share how it was done.

In particular not having a Table Of Contents (Bookmarks) it almost too much too bear. :(

FYI, I have created the PDF help for 8.70 using my new help software. Check it out:

I like the new PDF help file, it's definitely an improvement 8) But..there are 3 concerns that I hope you will be able to address at some point:

a) Blank pages occurring now and then - no biggie. PDF isn't secured, so could probably remove them myself if you're cool with it.
b) ToC is linked (possible to jump to each subsection), but Index is just page numbers - a bit of a let down, would have been icing on the proverbial [navigational] cake.
c) Lack of visual aids, like screenshots - not so much of an issue with CHM help, since you can't scroll from top to bottom of the document. It gets a bit mundane and hard on the eyes to see page after page of pure text. An administration guide 3 times the size is easier to read because it has screenshots, diagrams, tables, etc.

Some of those could be limitations of that software, so some feedback for those devs ;)

a) They exist for anybody who actually prints this thing. But IMO nobody will be that crazy so I will try to remove them.

b) yep, noted that too. I HOPE it's not a limitation of the software, but up to now I could not find a way to fix this. :(
EDIT: bummer, but it is not supported.

c) Sure, but major work. No time. Maybe one by one...

Thanks for those responses. Shame that proggie doesn't support index linking, but I'm positive about white pages removal and visual aids :)
