I've checked the "minimnize to tray" option, which usually functions normally. (I love this new function!) But Trackerunexpectedly goes off on its own if you click on the "mass minimization" icon (looks to me like a lever or a pencil hoving over a sheet of paper) and minimizes the old, wrong way. This is inconsistent -- and when restoring or maximizing Tracker with a click on the program icon to take a quick look and then clicking once again to minimize it, it's weird to discover the Tracker icon has disappeared from under the mouse pointer and teleported itself over to the system tray.

"mass minimization"?? Uhh, what's that, a new terrible weapon?

Not a terrible weapon, just a useful icon that appears on the left side of my Windows2000 toolbar, just to the right of the Start button. I've made three screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about -- to see them go to the following link:

and click on the button "GMX Media Center starten".

Screenshot #1 ("Minimizing-01.jpg") shows the icon I'm talking about, with Tracker running and Microsoft Photo Editor minimized. Screenshot #2 shows what happens if I click on the "mass minimization" icon: Tracker "incorrectly" minimizes, with the icon remaining next to the mimized Microsoft Photo Editor icon. (This screenshot also shows the Tooltip for the "mass minimizing icon".) Then, clicking once on the minimized Tracker icon restores it back to the situation in Screenshot #1. After that, hitting the minimize button on the Tracker title bar or clicking once on the minimized Tracker icon "teleports" the minimized Tracker icon from where it was, on the left among other minimized programs' icons, to the right to the system tray (Screenshot #3).

This is no big deal, but it would probably be best to have Tracker consistently minimizing itself to the system tray should that option be checked in the Configuration.

Yes, but I cannot debug it here on XP. Here I have a keyboard shortcut to mass-minimize (Windows Key + M) and mass-restore (Windows Key + Shift + M), and this works like it should. Maybe you have it, too; then you could forget about your icon.

The keyboard shortcuts don't work with my Windows 2000 but no matter -- this is really too minor an issue to worry about.

Just a thought about one aspect of minimization to the sys tray that you might want to change: at the moment, left-clicking and right-clicking on the Tracker icon in the sys tray both work the same: they restore the Tracker window. Wouldn't it be more intuitive for the left-click to restore and a right-click to bring up a brief context menu offering a couple of choices, including "close"?
