Mouse 'back'-button navigation toggle

Could we get an option to make the mouse's 'back' button simply move up one level? Rather than stepping back through our recent history, which is what it does now.

Those of us who use mice 'back' buttons swear by them, especially for web browsing. So it's been a natural extension to use them in XY. I probably use this button 100+ times a day in XY, and each time I still expect it to go up one level from where I'm at ... and each time it jumps to wherever I was at last, instead.

Just a simple "Mouse back button up one level" option setting would be wonderful for this ...

Heck, while I'm asking, how about making the mouse 'forward' button (these are getting hard to find) go 'down' one level? Just open the first available folder from the current location.

Thanks :)

Just wondering...Did you happen to look at recent threads before starting this one? I somewhat suspect you may not have, as it seems to duplicate http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3787, true? And that one was only a few days ago...

Yes, I do admit that finding much older threads can be a challenge sometimes but it helps keep the board cleaner if we all try when possible....

Since 2 people were screaming, and assuming they were not identical, I added it as a tweak. One sunny day this will surface as a Custom Event Actions section in Configuration.

My bad, sorry about that. I should have searched the threads first.
