Hi

When I have alot of tabs some of the tabs just do not fit in the tab line naturally. It would be great if we have some icons for shifting the tab line back and forth so the user can see those invisible tabs(the one sdo not fit). Especially now that we have dualpane, most of the tab space is even more limited .

This has been discussed here before but don't recall the outcome...having the ability to 'slide' the icons/tabs left/right and alternatively, for TB icons, use the ">>" style like Win Quick Launch so that one could drop-down the extra/overflow icons as needed could prove quite useful.

Update:Corrected to better match thread topic..Orig reply was addressing another issue indirectly.

This is an important requirement for me - scrolling tabs but from what I remember of the previous discussion Don is against it.

It makes no sense. Why would he want to be against a useful fature? Any tabbed interface would provide such functionalities to ease usability curve. For example FF provides it and it is best known for its tab support.

I've always hated that scrolling, I have Firefox set to use 3 rows and really small tabs before it adds scrolling arrows.
That's not to say it shouldn't be available in XY, just that I don't like it and would want to make sure it was customizable enough that I could avoid them.
