Folder sort order

I am sure that this question has been answered somewhere, but I have been unable to find the answer. I know that XYplorer has and option to sort folders apart from files and to keep folders on top. What I have not been able to find is how to keep folders sorted alphabetically while I keep files sorted by date. I know that other file managers allow this behavior and it is my preferred set up. Can someone tell me how to do this with XYplorer?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe you are facing the problem of "Natural numeric sort order"? See menu "Configuration | General" to enable/disable this kind of sorting.

Nope, nwfuss you are quite right - I already asked about this

.
Even with sort folders apart and natural numeric sort order, if you sort the file list by date then the folders are also sorted by date.
I totally see the logic of this as it makes sense (and in many cases is quite usefull), however I do agree with you that there are file managers out that that ignore any sorting on folders and always sort folders by name (if they are set to sort folders apart).
Don't think we will get it, but an additional option for this in XY would be nice.

It has been a while since I made my original post and I was curious as to whether or not any thought has gone into implementing this method of sorting. As I stated in my original post, I have grown accustomed to this method of sorting and find that it works best for me. If I could do this in XYplorer I do not think that I would have any need for any other file manager.
