It wasn't promising? Huh? Did we read the same posts? It was that thread that may have been the most vital to getting DP implemented since it was a calm, organized and logical discussion of the topic, IMHO. And I thought it was quite complimentary of DP users, but maybe not the DP fanatics who fall into a slightly different category to me.

In any case, we now have DP and can at least attempt to compete in that section of the market! :D
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

-select 1 or more files in the folder being refreshed.
-switch to the other pane
-wait a bit and the IP and statusbar will point to <curitem> in the inactive pane (not reset  ).

i have a felling this bug was already posted before. :?
Ah yes, got it, thanks!

Loaded v8.00.0006 (can't confirm if this is different behaviour than .0005) one of the panes is referencing a location that cannot be found (Unplugged USB Drive). I went to change it's location and clicking anywhere in that pane causes XY to crash. E.g. clicking any tab on the top of the left pane, clicking the pane contents (currently showing the "Location not available" message) itself. Trying to "Toggle active pane" tosses me an error:
Error 91 (0000005B)
Desc Object variable or With block variable not set
Dll 0
Proc

Source XYplorer
XY ver 8.00.0006
OS Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
Date 6/24/2009 8:56:28 AM

Can't explain what happened, but after using the hotkey, it allowed me to change directory and it quit crashing. VERY strange. I'm going to try to recreate the error.

Bug: XYplorer crashes when the second pane in list points to an nonexisting directory and then the pane is activated.

Using latest beta

Steps to reproduce

1) Single Pane mode first - single pane points to an existing directory
2) Checks the Dual Pane checkmark on the menu
3) The second pane points to an directory that does not exists anymore
4) Clicks on the second pane or selects the menu choice Toggle Active Pane

XYplorer crashes.

Windows Vista SP 2 en/us

The non-existing folder is Desktop in the local language (Skrivbord) if that could be of any help?

EDIT: Just made a copy of the XYplorer folder edited Panes\2\pane.ini and changed the path to another non-existing path.
Same crash.

Maybe it's an issue with Vista?

EDIT: Vista SP 2 32-bit

EDIT2: Just tested with Windows XP same crash. Maybe something related to the main ini?

I think it's another bug

1. Create a folder, let's say "A" in C:\
2. Activate dual pane mode
3. A tab in first pane to C:\A, another tab in second pane to C:\A
4. Now select folder A in the tree and delete it with shift + delete (not simple delete because this makes a difference)

then the situation it's a bit messy

A it's still on the tree
the active pane went to C:\ and still list A
the other pane has C:\A as unaivalable

Great :) Just curious, was it a bug or a corrupt ini?
