it would be nice to be able to run an app/script on startup in the background or foreground, i was thinking about this because of the tip of the day - show tips on startup option. if the user is pretty familiar with xyplorer already, the user would probably not use the tip of the day anymore. but if the user can run an app/script instead, the user would be more productive in the sense of less clicking/searching for the app/script. another benefit of running an app on startup is flexible portability, what i mean is that xyplorer as a portable app can be more robust in terms of portability thru third party apps.

an example of a third party app which i think is very useful is clipx, a simple and portable clipboard manager, in which combine with xyplorer, running each time xyplorer is started can help increase productivity of the user, especially when your not using your own computer.

You know, this is an idea that never occurred to me, but it makes perfect sense! Even if it were initially available via a tweak to define the name/path to the script, that would probably be sufficient, I suspect.

i think as soon as "Custom Event Actions" will be implemented, Don won't forget to include an event like "OnStartup" or something like this.

Yes i had a similar impression too when Don mentioned about CEA.
By the way, i also hope for this: New tab automatically opens when i insert a CD or plug-in a USB, a very common (repetitive and boring) action i do everyday manually.

this would be really useful if implemented
