Hi

I'm a new trackerv3 user. I'm very disappointed :( cause I see nothing in right panel but always "currently not available :" and the path.

I only see folders and files if i click (in left panel) on Desk, C:, D: (i.e. top of directories). But nothing if i click on subfolders (c:\program files, c:\winnt, d:\temp, and so on)

Windows NT4 SP6a

If you can help me...

D.

I hope you're joking! This can't be true. Can you send me a screenshot?

I have to know what's going on there! There must be something very special about your file system, your special paths (Desktop...), your path names... do you have any idea?
Send a screenshot (email attachment) to the email address you find in TrackerV3's about window.

As i said, TV3 works fine only if i select C:\ D:\ and Desktop : i see all folders and files in right panel with correct ext, size, type, ...
Actually, i have no idea to help you :( but i'll answer to your questions.

Thanks, I got the screenshot. I replied in private mail. I'm really curious to find out what's going on.

Thread epilogue: the dunand-bug remains a mystery. I tried several things but nothing worked.
If there's anybody out there (apart from dunand) who gets a "currently not available" on all folders but the top folders let me know.

I have found (by accident) a way to reproduce it but I don't think it's related to dunand's bug.

Close TrackerV3 with focus on a file in the list pane.
Delete (or rename?) the folder containing that file in an external application (something some programs might do without the user knowing).
Open TrackerV3.
Focus (in the tree pane) moves to the parent of the folder deleted and the list pane displays: "Currently not available" and the folder path and name.
Rebuild tree and all is O.K.

It doesn't matter if "Auto-refresh on file system changes" is on or off.

That's on purpose and a feature: it tells you that the folder you've been last time does not exist anymore, at least not under this name.

O.K. I can relate to that. It was just a thought that it might have been related to the bug.

I don't think so. The bug is still a glowing mystery...
