Yea...I've been here a long time but sometimes, I have bad memory, so need aid of others, ok?

How is the ideal/best/easiest way to get all tabs (except Search Results) to have the exact same col visibility, layout, size, etc?
This includes any tabs defined as Home.

I've got a layout that I like, and it seems that somehow/somewhere along the line, it keeps getting modified, so I'd like to have a way to reset these globally if needed.

My first guess would be to save your layout as default profile in Folder View Settings, but, having thought about that, I couldn't think of a way to deploy those settings globally across all tabs. Incidentally, Windows Explorer in Vista (and XP, if I recall correctly) has an ability to view settings to all folders.

P.S. Playing around, I actually found a little "hiccup" where I don't seem to be able to disable "FVS" once enabled, but that's for a different section of the forum

Rememberig all this stuff tabwise is work XY is doing for you. The question now is if you want to patch the memory, or if you simply want to have XY forget all those settings and leave the list untouched whatever you do. I think the latter would be cooler.

BTW, none of it is currently possible.

Humm..I just noticed the same thing afer reading your reply...

Oh, and don't worry...Don reads all sections equally, so bugs can get fixed via reports here as well! No need to create duplicate threads.

Oops, too late! I've already created a thread in the Bugs section, sorry about that. I also think every bug deserves a thread so others can share their experiences and discuss them with Don. Besides, this thread is for your layout question, not my bug

Saw that...no big deal...it's just a clarification that we're not always so strict here that bugs absolutely have to go into that section to get addressed or looked at unlike some other forums...in general, it is good practice, however.
