XYplorer Freezes after deleting files (repeatedly)

Hi, wonderful program.

I've had this happen numerous times, enough so to make me create in account in hopes of it getting fixed. I believe this is a problem with 7.9, it stated with 7.90.001 or 2, and I upgraded to .010 and it still occurs.

Basically, any time I have a few hundred files in details view (enough to have a scroll bar to scroll down a large amount), then select the 2nd 2/3s of the files (say files 40-100 out of 100), and shift+delete them, the program doesn't update after the delete correctly, and if you click a few times or try to navigate somewhere else, it may update falsely, but it will either freeze or crash.

I can repeat this extremely easily and am not sure what is causing it. Thanks for any help, let me know if you need any other information.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

This sounds like it is the same as a problem that was recently fixed:

Code: Select all

v7.90.0026 - 2009-01-04 23:00
! Crash when a large scrolled down file list was redrawn to a
smaller (but > 0) list (after moving or deleting files). Fixed.
Development is now up to beta v7.90.0047, could you backup your current installation and give that a try?

Perfect, I forgot there were more recent builds tucked away here. The problem is gone, and the program seems faster than ever, thanks!

BTW, imo that's a pretty decent problem to have in a "stable" beta build hosted for download on your main page... I hope it doesn't stay up there much longer to put a bad taste in other's mouths for an otherwise perfect program. :)
