would it be possible to make XYplorer be able to browse archives (like rar,zip,7z,lzh,bca,bca,rk,tar,gz,ace) (also show in tree view) , really the main formats for now would be zip,rar,lzh,7z and maybe tar, if you install winrar it gives you a dll file programs can hook into, (most other formats can use archiver dll's)
some Common Archiver DLL's can be found here (so you wouldnt need to hardcode in the format and can get around all the red tape about licensing (for example winrar))

This subject has just been covered in two other threads within the last week or so...now was yet another thread on exact same subject really needed? It just makes things here harder to deal with.
See
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3211 and

IMO, it would have been much more appropriate and just as effective, if not more, to add your post to one of those...but guess you didn't maybe search for prior "zip" threads first?

i liked my thread better, plus it gave the idea of using archiver dlls.
i don't mean to be rude so dont take this the wrong way, but these are intended to admin (programmer of XY), unless your a mamber of the developer team. i have noticed admin doesnt even read the posts when you add a reply

And I'n not trying to be rude either...but just because Don/admin doesn't reply doesn't mean he hasn't read them, ok? If he fully agrees with what I or jacky or others have given as response, then he'll not take the time to post...no, I'm not a a developer, but I have been pretty heavily involved with XY as you can tell by post count, as has jacky...so we are somewhat authorized to try and handle those replies that may not need his.
There is no reason I can think of why your comments could not have been added to one of those pre-exsiting threads, especially since they were quite recent...and creating a new duplicate thread actually may not help your cause...as Don reads new posts as well as new threads, ok?
