JPEGXL or JXL is slowly gaining traction. Especially with the 3 big browser starting to officially support it without behind beta or setting flags.

Will XYPplorer join this efforts?

No problem here under Windows 11 to preview .jxl files in XY.
There is support for it in Explorer, Everything search and all my file managers.
