XY changes folder independently

I've seen this for quite a while now - and have initially assumed that I must have hit a wrong key, but I finally confirmed it was XY's doing: I've opened folder c:\a\b\c\d - and suddely I find myself a few levels up. The latest happened while I was F11ing a file (28.40.0404) - and while that file was focussed, I noticed the folder window switching back to c:\
ofc it does not happen "on demand" and once/twice a day, so I understand it might be hard to track down - but I wanted to raise it anyway, as it is a bug that deserves to die...
