Folder sizes that were calculated for individual folders with Shift+F5 get discarded after a list refresh when Auto-Refresh is enabled. This seems like a good idea when doing a full list refresh with F5 or when switching to a different folder and back. But it seems unnecessary or counterproductive when a list refresh was triggered by creating/deleting/moving a file/folder in the current list.

An example would be to calculate the sizes of several folders to decide which ones to delete or move. Deleting/moving one of these folders will discard the folder sizes of all the other folders of interest.

I guess it might be difficult or too costly for XYplorer to monitor whether the folders with folder sizes have changed after a list refresh triggered by creating/deleting/moving a file/folder? If so, maybe these folder sizes could get a "~" added to them to indicate that changes were made to the current list and folder sizes could be inaccurate/outdated.

Tick "Configuration | General | Tree and List | List | Cache folder sizes", problem solved.

Hm, either I am misunderstanding what caching does or it is a bug ... because I already had "Cache folder sizes" enabled. I use "Calculate Folder Sizes (Shitft+F5)", not the toggle to show all folder sizes.
I tried ::fresh; and it doesn't cache individual folder sizes either. As soon as the list refreshes, the folder sizes are gone.

This is on v28.30.1901 x64, Windows 10, 100%.

Oh yes, sorry, "Calculate Folder Sizes (Shitft+F5)" updates the cache. Keeping the calculated folder sizes would defy the very purpose of the function.

Would you care to elaborate? My use case may be too narrow to see how cached numbers would affect Shift+F5 negatively. On a list refresh, the cached folder sizes could be marked as cached with a "~" character. Additionally, in my case, deleting any folder would not change the folder size of any other folder and therefore calculated folder sizes could remain on screen?

Okay, sorry. I didn't read carefully enough. You're right; this could be done and probably should be done. However, it requires some attention to detail to do it right. I don't have time for this right now. Please remind me after the glow-up is complete.
