Coloring Drives and Folders Within Tree

I know this a newbie question and has probably been asked many times before. But I cannot seem to get it to work for me.
I have several external hard drives and I want to have the folders appear in the tree with distinctive colors for each drive.
I have been able to play around a get the drives to appear in different colors but have not been able to have the folders appear with the same color. Is this possible, and if so, how do I enable or configure it?
Many thanks if someone can explain how to do this.

Thank you jupe.

I had read this topic previously and tried your directions but it didn't seem to work properly.
After looking at it again I discovered the reason it didn't work as I wanted it to was because I had the view set to dark mode.
After toggling off dark mode, all is good.
Thanks for the kick in the pants. Sometimes one cannot see the forest for the trees.

As a follow up to my question, is there a way to have different text colors for each folder within the tree instead of having the entire drive in a box of color? So drive C: and all of its folders would have one text color, drive D: and all of its folders a different color. I hope I have explained it correctly.

Many thanks.

You can do it via Color FIlters as mentioned in the linked topic, you'd just need to clear the BG color, eg

T:name: C:\*

Configuration | Colors and Styles | Color Filters
